Booker T. Jackson

Booker T. Jackson was a poet born at Center Point, Howard County, Arkansas on March 6, 1929. By 1985 he resided in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. After completing high school in Memphis, Jackson received a Bachelors of Arts in 1956 from Philander Smith College in Little Rock. Beginning his writing career in 1948, Jackson is widely published, including "What the World Needs" and "God Looks Down." Jackson received Poet of the Year in 1969 and was listed in Who's Who in Poetry in 1970
