An autobiography of the leader and organizer of the Hitler Youth, and from 1940 up to the end of the war Nazi Gauleiter and Reichsstadthalter of Vienna. Schirach was an antisemite, but claims not to have known about the Nazi atrocities against the Jews. He also claims to have prevented the distribution of "Der Stürmer" amongst Hitler Youth as well as the organization's involvement in the "Kristallnacht" riots.
