Marie Amos begins with her arrival in Harford County in 1914. She joined the Harford County 4-H Club and became a leader. She studied to be a teacher and was a public school teacher who later became the first woman Principal at Highland Elementary School. She was active in Highland Homemakers Club, Highland Presbyterian Church, and National Education Association
