Jerry Springer. [1993-04-14, Racist kids]

"The Jerry Springer Show becomes a forum for youngsters to discuss their views on the issue of racism. An audience of children confront a panel of 9 to 14-year-olds who have been taught to hate Blacks, Jews, or anyone who is not White. They're here today with their parents to share their message of white supremacy, but what happens is an enlightening examination of how children are interpreting the actions of the adult world."--1993 Peabody Awards entry form. The five white children on the panel, two kids from the Kreis family and three from the Thomas family, are joined onstage by their fathers, who explain why they have raised their children to hate non-whites and Jews. The children and their fathers explain that all that they learn and preach is taken from the Bible. Jerry Springer reminds the panel members that it is their interpretation of the Bible, which is a far different interpretation than that of the rest of society
