La langue lua ('niellim')
"Descriptions de Langues et Monographies Ethnolinguistiques is to be a collectoin of original linguistic monographs on individual languages. The approach may be either purely linguistic, concentrating on systematic phonological, morphological, syntactic and/or semantic analysis, or ethnolinguistic, i.e., taking languages in their social context, as the primary means for the expression of their speakers' cultural values and attitudes. The collection will be reserved, as a general rule, for studies of lesser-known languages and societies, particularly those which have as yet been subject to little scientific scrutiny on account of a lack of written history, cultural prestige or political power"--T.p. facing page
