Ladies in lines
Depicts women recruits in the Australian Army training camp at Kapooka. The video follows the women as they arrive at Kapooka, to the shouting abuse of the army corporals. The second week of training is marked by strenuous exercise. The recruits' first social night is also documented as is the reaction of the platoon corporals the next morning. The strain that is felt after weeks of training is examined and the questions "is it worth it?" and "why bother?" are posed. The recruits struggle to complete their final challenge - the obstacle course. For some the pressure is too great, while for others grim determination results in success
