The story is based on a true fact, witnessed by the aruthor of the film. At the very railway junction, where he spent childhood, lived by two people - old shepherd and his daughter in law. Her husband died at the battle front. But she did not believe in his death and waited. The film "Daughter in Law" shows a usual live of shepherds, but the way of life of people is conveyed to us with a deep penetration into the meaning of it, with such a love to their motherland that this film can be considered an encyclopedia of lives of the Turkmen.--Insert
