The exhibition that this publication accompanies is the first of a series of four exhibitions that will be presented at the University of Queensland Art Museum over the next three years. Return to sender explores a number of artists who, under the increasing political and social weight of the Bjelke-Petersen leadership, moved south across the border from South-East Queensland in order to find a more supportive context for their ideas and their expression
