A facsimile reproduction of the Leicester codex, also known as the Hammer codex, consisting of notes and drawings on the study of water compiled by Leonardo da Vinci between 1503 and 1516. The codex was purchased in 1717 by Tomas Coke, the Count of Leicester, whose family kept it in the library at Holkham Hall for 263 years. Sold at auction to Armand Hammer in 1980, the codex subsequently became the property of Bill Gates
