The Rudolf Presber collection
Here information about author as gleaned from the prefaces to the 1935 American ed. of "Geschichten um Bubchen", a publisher's blurb, and the grandson's e-memo: Presber died at the age of 67 in Berlin on Oct. 1, 1935, during the preparation of the first American ed. of this popular book. He was born in Frankfurt on July 4, 1868, and became a newspaper editor for the "Frankfurter Generalanzeiger" and the "Berliner Post", as well as a prominent member of the Reichsverband Deutscher Schriftsteller, and the Literarische Gesellschaft. -- He was also editor of the journal "Uber Land und Meer" from 1909 to 1915/16.
