The scavengers
Along with Love Camp 7 (also released in 1969), The Scavengers is among the more notorious films to emerge from the unique minds of director R.L. Frost and producer-writer Bob Creese. During the aftermath of the Civil War, a gang of renegade Confederate soldiers cuts a path of death and destruction across the Western Territory. Taking over a frontier town, the scavengers devour their prey at will. After the soldiers molest a young black woman, an enraged group of ex-slaves takes up arms and attacks the gang with bloody retribution
