A tribute to tuna
Produced in honor of the men who once fished from the racks, using cane poles, their bare hands, guts and determination, and the magnificent tuna they chased. This award-winning video takes us on a journey through time, with some of the most exciting and rarest 4-pole action footage ever shot. The videos discuss how hooking a tuna can be one of the most challenging and emotional experiences of an angler's life. The second film shows archival footage of the first long-range trips, circa 1950, and takes the viewer trhough the evolution of fishing tuna -- from 500-pound bluefin off Bimini Bay to the Revilla Gigedos Islands, and extensively demonstrates different kinds of poles, leather harnesses, 9/0s, Shimano's two-speed hydrothermal drag systems, and other equipment for optimal fishing
